Our stay was excellent! The fishing guide you provided was first class. As a fishing lodge you need some loan equipment for guests that have forgotten stuff - landing nets, even rods and reels complete with lure.

Lodge Walks
A stunning two kilometre bush walk has been created through native Beech forest. For those just wanting a gentle stretch, this simple 15-minute walk is a must - taking you over waterfalls and creeks...to quiet glades and steeply wooded hillside. You may catch glimpses of wild deer, wild pigs and goats!
Our native Beech forest is also full of beautiful native birds, the most amazing array of mosses and lichens and in Autumn amazing species of fungi.
For those wanting something a little more strenuous, the full 50 minute walk can be done.
To help you appreciate the beauty of the wilderness, our track map and signage points out different flora within the beech forest and our vast library includes books describing New Zealand’s fauna, birdlife and flora.
There are no poisonous or dangerous predators in New Zealand so you can enjoy the beauty of the natural environment without fear of being bitten.
